As an accomplished illustrator and designer, Marisol Ortega’s practice is one that is constantly evolving.  Like many children, Ortega was drawn to art at a young age and went on to art school to study Graphic Design and stumbled into illustration.  Ortega starts with a sketch before composing her final digital or physical designs.  Her work is characterized by bold & cheerful colors, intricate line work, and lettering that seamlessly weld together beautifully. Inspired by her childhood, motherhood, and botany, Ortega also blends her Mexican-American culture into her work.  Working with a number of brands and businesses, Ortega has established her practice with a distinctive style while blazing the path for other Mexican-American and BIPOC creators to enter the art and design sector.
